Lee Tomlin would be a great signing for Leeds United.
Leeds United have been linked with their perfect January addition today, after reports emerged that they are interested in Bournemouth forward Lee Tomlin.
According to the Bournemouth Echo, Tomlin is a transfer target for Leeds - although his addition could depend on Lewis Cook leaving.
Bournemouth reportedly want Cook to sign and they are prepared to offer Tomlin as a sweetener in the deal.
Of course, losing Cook would be a bitter blow for Leeds and his departure would be inadvisable - but if there was a way to bring Tomlin to Elland Road without losing the 18-year-old it would be a wonderful move for Steve Evans’ men.
Tomlin has proven his quality at Championship level for both Peterborough United and Middlesbrough and he would bring a lot of qualities that have been so desperately lacking from Leeds’ team this season.
The 27-year-old is a player who demands possession, and thrives off creating chances for others.
Tomlin is willing to commit defenders, and his style of play seems perfect for the Elland Road crowd.
He also has an aggressive streak, and his whole-hearted approach would only serve to further endear himself to Leeds supporters.
The Whites have lacked a real talisman ever since Ross McCormack left, but there is no reason why Tomlin could not fill this void.
And if Leeds can secure Tomlin’s transfer, without having to lose Cook, the move should be a no-brainer for the Yorkshire side.
