Tennis bad-boy Nick Kyrgios reveals Emmanuel Adebayor is the reason behind his Tottenham Hotspur support

The Australian says he used to play with Tottenham on FIFA all the time.

Emmanuel Adebayor's future is one of the big questions of the current transfer window. The Togo striker has been without a club since having his contract at Tottenham Hotspur rescinded and is now available to join a new team - with Crystal Palace and Watford continually linked.

However for one fellow controversial sportsmen Adebayor is the man who started his love of Tottenham in the first place.

Australian tennis player Nick Krygios is a maverick figure in the sport and has often found himself on the wrong side of the press for his on-court antics - a bit like Adebayor.

In fact in November 2014 Krygios even visited Hotspur Way as a treat.

He has told Four Four Two this week, in the wake of his most recent win at the Australian Open, that it was playing FIFA with Adebayor that got him into Tottenham in the first place:

"I used to play a lot of FIFA. It's sort of died down a bit.

"I don't play so much, but I'm a massive fan of Adebayor and he doesn't play there anymore. I've just stayed with that team.

"He was a boss on FIFA. He was a scoring machine. That pretty much just stayed."

Kyrgios is now through to the third round of the Australian Open where he will likely be keeping tabs on any movement regarding his old FIFA star.

These two troublemakers are like peas in a pod and it is no wonder that Kyrgios took such a liking to the enigmatic former Spurs striker.
