Reports suggest West Ham United will target Asamoah Gyan and Ishak Belfodil if Emannuel Emenike deal doesn't happen

The former Sunderland and Inter Milan stars have been linked with The Hammers.

West Ham United are said to be keen on bringing in a new striker this month, with Sky Sports reporting that an offer has been made for Fenerbache forward Emmanuel Emenike.

But it would seem that West Ham are stretching the net far and wide to ensure they get their man.

Because not only are they hoping to speak to the Nigerian forward but Ghanaian star striker Asamoah Gyan and Algerian talent Ishak Belfodil.

The Daily Mirror claims, as reported by Sky Sports, that Gyan is in the crosshairs for West Ham. The talented striker has previously played in the Premier League for Sunderland but has since made a career in Asian football - first with UAE side AL Ain and currently with Chinese club Shanghai SIPG.

The same Sky Sports summary claims the Daily Mail are reporting West Ham interest in Belfodil. The former Inter Milan and Parma attacker joined UAE side Baniyas Sports Club in the summer and has previously been linked with a West Ham transfer.

Both would certainly represent good options for the rest of the season if The Hammers are indeed interested in their services.

Currently it looks as though Emenike is the front-runner - but thsould that deal fall through expect to see the interest in this pair rise.
