According to a report in the Daily Mail, Swansea City striker Bafetimbi Gomis would rather move to Newcastle United than Crystal Palace.
Both Newcastle and Palace are said to be keen on Gomis, with Swansea open to the possibility of selling the powerful forward.
The Frenchman started the season in fine form, scoring four times in his first four games, but he has struggled for goals more recently.
Palace are said to be willing to offer Dwight Gayle as a trade for Gomis, while Newcastle will reportedly target the 30-year-old if they do not manage to sign Saido Berahino from West Bromwich Albion.
Gomis is aware of both club’s interest, but he apparently has his sights set on a move to Tyneside.
The former Lyon man is reportedly keen to link up with Steve McClaren’s side and is hoping that the Magpies do make an attempt to sign him in what remains of the current transfer window.
Gomis has scored six goals in 23 appearances for Swansea this term, and he is currently second in the Welsh side's scoring charts, behind Andre Ayew.
