According to a report on TalkSPORT, Sunderland will offer Fabio Borini or Jordi Gomez to Swansea City - in the hope of landing Andre Ayew.
Sunderland have made Ayew their main attacking target, according to a reports, and they are desperate to force through a deal.
Swansea have, so far, rejected all of Sunderland’s approaches for the front man, but Sam Allardyce’s side are set to persist in their attempts to land him.
Allardyce believes that by offering the Swans the chance to pick between Gomez or Borini, he could force a deal over the line.
Gomez has fallen out of favour at the Stadium of Light since Allardyce took charge, while Borini hasn’t had the impact many were hoping for since arriving from Liverpool last summer.
However, the pair are both talented players and could fit in well with Swansea’s patient style of football.
HITC reported yesterday that Swansea were looking for £14 million for Ayew - but Sunderland feel that by offering a swap deal, they could reduce the Welsh club’s asking price.
