Report: Southampton and Bournemouth battle to sign exciting forward Che Adams

Sheffield United's Che Adams is attracting interest from Southampton and Bournemouth.

South coast clubs Bournemouth and Southampton are both competing to sign Sheffield United forward Che Adams, report The Mirror.

Adams has been starring at the League One side for the past two seasons, since signing from non-league Ilkeston.

He scored in the League Cup semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur a year ago, and later earned a call-up to England's under-20 side.

HITC reported in August that Sunderland are long term admirers of Adams, while The Sun reported earlier this month that Manchester City are monitoring his progress.

Adams signed a new contract in late August, and has been a key player for the Blades this season, making 17 league appearances.

The 19-year-old has struck six goals in league competition, providing two assists, also scoring another in the Football League Trophy.

The Mirror's report suggests a possible £1.75m valuation for Adams, who can play up front or in an attacking midfield role.
