Report: Bournemouth return for Leeds United talent Lewis Cook, Lee Tomlin to head the other way

The Premier League side are hopeful of getting their hands on Cook this month.

Leeds United look set to lose Sam Byram this week as the talented youngster heads to West Ham with just five months left of his contract at Elland Road.

Leeds' top young players have become alarmingly hot property and in recent weeks the fear was that Bournemouth might be taking another.

Lewis Cook was heavily linked with a move to join up with Eddie Howe on the South Coast but Leeds fans certainly hoped that the England youth international was not considered up for sale.

Bournemouth's interest appeared to have come to nothing when Leeds insisted, as reported by Sky Sports, that he was joining the Cherries, just a couple of weeks ago.

Now it is being reported that Bournemouth are coming back in for the teenage midfielder.

The Daily Echo say report a cash-plus-player deal is being considered by Bournemouth in order to lure Leeds into a sale.

The report even comments on rumours that Lee Tomlin has said his goodbyes at Dean Court and is ready to make a move away from the club this month.

Tomlin joined Bournemouth in the summer after a successful season in the Championship with Middlesbrough. However he has struggled for top form and playing time with Bournemouth.

Leeds United fans will undoubtedly be hoping that this deal is not happening, even if they would happily take Tomlin on board.

But if it involves Cook going the other way, Leeds should tell Bournemouth to forget about it.
