The Leeds United Under-21 side went down 1-0 to their Liverpool counterparts on Tuesday evening.

Leeds United Under-21 goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the defeat on Tuesday evening.

The Whites lost Premier League Cup last-16 tie at Tranmere Rovers’ Prenton Park 1-0. Daniel Trickett-Smith’s goal on the stroke of half time proved to be the difference between the two sides.

Peacock-Farrell, who is just 19 years of age and played for the entire 90, has taken to Twitter and Instagram to admit his disappointment at the final result.

The teenager stated on Instagram: "Gutted about the result last night, losing to Liverpool. We deserved more."

Meanwhile, Leeds’ first team are in action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Bristol City at Elland Road in the Championship.

Steve Evans’s side are 17th in the league table at the moment with 32 points from 27 matches, just eight points above the relegation zone.

City, who got promoted from Bristol City at the end of last season, are third from bottom in the standings with 24 points from 27 games.
