John Hartson says Celtic want Rangers in Scottish Premiership

Rangers are playing in the Scottish Championship at the moment, while Celtic are currently in the Scottish Premiership.

John Hartson has written in The Scottish Sun that Celtic want Rangers in the Scottish Premiership next season.

Celtic are playing in the top flight of Scottish football at the moment, while bitter rivals Rangers are currently in the Scottish Premiership.

“I heard this week that Celtic didn’t want Anthony Stokes to sign for Hibs because they don’t want them winning the Championship,” former Celtic striker Hartson wrote in The Scottish Sun on January 15.

“You know, because they want Rangers to get automatically promoted! That’s what someone suggested to me and, sure, I can see where he was coming from.”

Rangers are at the top of the Scottish Championship table at the moment with 50 points from 20 matches.

Mark Warburton’s side are five points clear of second-placed Falkirk and also had a game in hand.

The Gers have the strongest team in the Championship, and they are favourites to win the league title.

Meanwhile, Celtic are going strong in the Scottish Premiership and are set to win the league title yet again.

Ronny Deila’s side are at the top of the standings at the moment with 52 points from 46 matches.

The Bhoys are six points clear of second-placed Aberdeen and eight ahead of Heart of Midlothian, who are currently third.
