The former Liverpool striker gave his thoughts on how the 25-year-old can improve.
Aston Villa fans seem convinced Christian Benteke is a better striker than his current form at Liverpool suggests.
The Belgian's Anfield career so far has been awkward at best and, despite a few goals and flashes of promise, he generally hasn't done enough to impress supporters on Merseyside.
Ask any of them and they might just echo John Aldridge's thoughts.
Indeed, Aldridge knows a thing or two about succeeding up front for Liverpool and he took to Twitter after watching Benteke disappoint yet again on Wednesday night.
The 25-year-old was up against Exeter City in the FA Cup and Aldridge tweeted the following:
I Think benteke needs to work on movement!when balls go wide,he's too Static.Hes Gotta Go beyond the far post,so he can attack the crosses!— John Aldridge (@Realaldo474) January 20, 2016
And that's just what the rest of the Reds faithful have been saying for weeks now.
Yes, at Villa, where Benteke was the focal point of every attack and crosses were delivered into him at will, the Belgian thrived.
At Liverpool, though, it has been a different ball game. He needs to do more - and certainly to fit in under Jurgen Klopp.
Next up for the Anfield outfit is a trip to Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon, as Liverpool visit Norwich City for the Premier League's early kick-off.
