The Bhoys made light work of Hamilton last night.
Celtic were rampant last night as they romped to an 8-1 triumph over Hamilton at Celtic Park.
The Bhoys were 3-0 up within ten minutes and the game soon got away from their opponents. In the end 8-1 was not flattering, with Northern Ireland international goalkeeper Michael McGovern also making some good saves to stop this game running into double figures.
The night saw Leigh Griffiths again on top form. He scored a hat-trick in the tie to take his tally for the season to 27 goals in 33 games - including eight goals in his last four appearances.
He was keen to celebrate this fact on Twitter, as he sent out this message this morning:
Not a bad Tuesday night in paradise. On another night it could've been 8 or 9 #27 pic.twitter.com/uUrUX9IQhk— leigh griffiths (@Leighgriff09) January 20, 2016
The other goals on the night came from Mikael Lustig, Nir Biton, Tom Rogic, James Forrest and Callum McGregor, with Eamonn Brophy getting the consolation for The Accies.
It was a game that came around too soon for Celtic's new signing Erik Sviatchenko. The Dane, who arrived from FC Midtjylland this month, was however happy to witness the fixture and posted this message on Twitter:
Celtic fans will hope this is a sign of things to come in the league, after disappointment in Europe this season.
