Report: Queens Park Rangers bid for Chelsea attacker Charly Musonda

Queens Park Rangers are reportedly keen on signing Charly Musonda from Chelsea in January.

Queens Park Rangers have made a loan offer for Chelsea attacker Charly Musonda, according to a report in the London Evening Standard.

QPR are keen to increase the attacking threat following the departure of Charlie Austin to Southampton.

Austin has been QPR’s main goalscorer ever since moving to the club back in 2013, and he will be tough to replace.

However, Hasselbaink’s side have acted quickly to secure their first choice targets.

QPR are expected to complete a deal for Peterborough United striker Conor Washington later today, and they have their sights set of bringing in Musonda, too.

The winger is very highly regarded by Chelsea, but he is not likely to receive first team action this season.

QPR will have to compete with Bayer Leverkusen, Lille and Rayo Vallecano for the 19-year-old, but they have jumped ahead of the queue by making the first formal offer.

QPR are also interested in Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford, according to the Standard.
