According to a report in the Daily Mail, Aston Villa could offload Jose Angel Crespo in January.
Crespo only joined Villa from Cordoba in the summer transfer window, but he has failed to make an impact.
The Spaniard has played just twice for the Claret and Blues, and he has fallen well out of favour since Remi Garde took charge.
The French boss appears to prefer other options in his squad, and the 28-year-old’s future is now in doubt.
Villa want to make a number of additions in January, due to their poor start, but they realise that there is a need to have a clear out.
Crespo is one of four Villa players who could reportedly be sold in the coming weeks, with the Midlands side also keen to get rid of Charles N’Zogbia, Gabriel Agbonlahor and Philippe Senderos.
Villa are said to be looking to sign Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy and Chelsea striker Loic Remy by Sky Sports, while they also want a goalkeeper.
