The left-back has been incredibly impressive for Arsene Wenger's side this season.
The 29-year-old has been with the Gunners since 2013, and has made 83 league appearances for the club. And while he has often battled Kieran Gibbs for a spot on the left-hand side of the back four since his arrival, this season has seen the Spaniard regularly hold down a starting spot in Arsene Wenger's side.
Monreal has featured in all of the club's 22 Premier League games this term, with only one of those appearances coming from the bench. As well as helping Arsenal maintain one of the best defensive records in the top flight, he has also bagged two assists.
His form has helped the club establish itself as the favourites for the title. The Gunners currently sit at the top of the table, level on points with Leicester City, but with much more experience of being near the summit under their belt, it is arguably Wenger's side that should capitalise on their current situation to bag the league crown come the end of the season.
