Paul Ince praises recent changes at Newcastle United

Steve McClaren

Newcastle are starting to show some major improvements.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Paul Ince has shared his view on Newcastle's recent result against West Ham, praising the improvement the Magpies have shown in recent weeks.

Ince said: “A great result for Newcastle at home to West Ham. They are now playing much better football and starting to score more goals, which you expect under a team managed by Steve McClaren. The fans seem to be back onside, and they're going the right way.”

The Magpies secured a 2-1 victory over West Ham, temporarily moving out of the bottom three after an impressive performance.

Ayoze Perez and Georginio Wijnaldum secured the points for the Tyneside club, and the result showed more progression from Steve McClaren’s men after that thrilling 3-3 draw with Manchester United last week.

The Magpies are starting to perform at the top of their game, and they look like a team who should easily fight off relegation as long as they continue to play in such a manner.

They are starting to hit the back of the net at the rate that their play expects, and the football is a joy to watch at times.

McClaren arrived with the reputation as a coach renowned for the style of football he plays, and Newcastle are starting to look like a team who are following the instructions of their head coach.
