Some Leeds United fans are not happy that Charlie Taylor has conceded defeat on the play-off spaces already.
Some Leeds United supporters have been left disappointed over Charlie Taylor’s comments that he has given up on making the play-offs this season.
Taylor admitted to BBC Radio Leeds that the Whites are unlikely to make it into the top six, and this season is now about building for next campaign.
He said: "Obviously, like you said, the playoffs are a bit of a tough ask now, so whatever the ambition is this season just probably finish as high as we can now and put a platform there for next season.”
It could be argued that Taylor's stance is realistic as Leeds are currently in 17th spot in the Championship table, and they are 13 points away from the top six.
The Yorkshire side have lost their last two matches, and there are still areas of weakness that have been evident in their squad.
Leeds boss Steve Evans has remained defiant, however, and always insisted that it is still possible for his side to make it into the play off chasing pack.
It seems that this attitude is one which has gone down better with Leeds fans, who are disappointed to hear one of their players effectively suggest their season is over in January.
