Confirmed Celtic line-up v Hamilton Academical: Mackay-Steven starts, Cole on the bench

Celtic take on Hamilton at home in the Scottish Premiership this evening.

Celtic starting line-up: Gordon; Lustig, Ambrose, Simunovic, Izaguirre; McGregor, Bitton; Mackay-Steven, Rogic, Armstrong; Griffiths

Celtic substitutes: Bailly, Ciftci, Commons, Allan, Cole, Forrest, Tierney.

Celtic will be looking to pick up a third successive league win this evening as they take on Hamilton Academical at Celtic Park.

The Bhoys recorded a convincing 4-1 victory away at Dundee United on Friday evening, and now they take on Hamilton in a re-scheduled clash which was supposed to take place in early December, but was called off at the time.

Ronny Deila has named a strong side tonight, but new signing Erik Sviatchenko is unavailable despite signing from Midtjylland on Sunday, as he needs to build up his fitness before starting.

That means Efe Ambrose and Jozo Simunovic will play together at centre back, whilst veteran Emilio Izaguirre is chosen over impressive teenager Kieran Tierney at left back.

Gary Mackay-Steven starts out wide despite an underwhelming campaign, with Tom Rogic and Stuart Armstrong also supporting top goalscorer Leigh Griffiths in attack.

On the bench, Deila has attacking players such as Kris Commons, James Forrest, Nadir Ciftci and Carlton Cole available, whilst Scott Allan and the aforementioned Tierney are also substitutes for the Bhoys as they seek a crucial three points, given that this is their game in hand over second placed Aberdeen.
