Leicester City drew their first FA Cup match, and will play the replay at the King Power Stadium tomorrow evening.
Ranieri named a much-changed line up for Leicester’s third round contest against Tottenham Hotspur, which they drew 2-2.
However, ahead of their replay, Chilwell insists that Ranieri wants his team to go on a long run, and he has been encouraging them to picture themselves playing at Wembley.
“The gaffer keeps telling us to keep thinking of the final at Wembley and what a big occasion it would be for us all. Obviously now we’re out of the Capital One Cup and we’re doing well in the Premier League, so if we do manage to beat Tottenham, it’d be great to go all the way to Wembley," he said.
Leicester were actually unfortunate not to beat Tottenham at White Hart Lane, as they had the lead until the very last minute of the match.
The Foxes had appeared to have booked their position in the fourth round, but a late Harry Kane penalty sent the tie to a replay.
Chilwell was handed an appearance for Leicester in that match, and he impressed at left-back.
The 19-year-old is regarded as one of the finest talents breaking through at the King Power Stadium currently, and he will be hoping to keep his place in the Foxes’ starting line up for the replay, which takes place tomorrow evening.
