Celtic are still working towards more transfers this month.
Ronny Deila has told a press conference that he is still working hard to complete more transfer business having made Erik Sviatchenko Celtic’s first January signing.
RD: "Very excited to get this deal done and looking forward to the future Still have some days left (in window) and still working." (MH)— Celtic Football Club (@celticfc) January 18, 2016
Sviatchenko arrived at Parkhead from FC Midtjylland, bolstering Deila’s defensive ranks after a half-season which has proven troublesome in Celtic’s own third of the pitch.
None of the current defensive options have proven particular reliable, and Sviatchenko links up with the Bhoys with a fantastic reputation as a real talent.
He is a solid first signing of the January window, but Celtic fans want to see more arrivals at Parkhead, and Deila has confirmed he is still working to bring in more players this month.
There are just over two weeks of the transfer window left, and Celtic are in talks with various targets.
Rasmus Falk is the player who is said to be closest to joining, the Scotsman confirming the Danish playmaker is in talks with Celtic concerning a transfer.
Deila refused to be drawn upon specific targets, but for Celtic fans, it appears as if they can get excited about more incoming arrivals this month.
