The 29-year-old has barely featured since Garde has taken charge, with the French boss clearly favouring other options.
Villa are said to be keen to offload Agbonlahor in January, with the Birmingham Mail suggesting he could leave on a free, but Garde has suggested that an improvement on the training field from the attacker could see him force his way back into contention.
“I will see what I see in training sessions,” Garde said, when asked if there was any way back for Agbonlahor.
Agbonlahor has been at Villa for the entirety of his career to date, but his future at the Midlands club has never been so insecure.
Agbonlahor is yet to publicly comment on where he believes his future lies, with Villa currently stuck at the bottom of the Premier League.
Agbonlahor has played 10 times for the Claret and Blues this season, but he is yet to score.
