Peterborough United have received a £3 million bid from QPR for Conor Washington, the Daily Mail reports.
The 23-year-old hitman has been in prolific form this season, netting 15 goals in 30 games across all competitions, with 10 in 24 in League One.
Still young and English, Washington represents the perfect gamble for a Championship side to take, and QPR are keen to bring him to Loftus Road having just sold Charlie Austin to Southampton.
The report claims that Derby and Sheffield Wednesday are also interested in Washington, but QPR are the only side to have yet made an approach for him.
The £3 million pushed QPR to the front of the queue for Washington, and they are hoping to wrap up a deal as soon as possible.
There are no indications as to Peterborough’s stance on selling Washington, or whether £3 million will be enough to prise him away to West London.
Derby and Wednesday have not yet made formal approaches for the striker, the report indicates.
