Sheffield Wednesday, Derby County, Birmingham City and Wolverhampton Wanderers are all reportedly interested in the Peterborough United striker.
Peterborough United supporters believe that a host of Championship clubs could be about to overpay for Conor Washington.
The Football League paper has suggested that eight clubs in the second tier are keen to sign Washington in January.
The likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Derby County, Birmingham City and Wolverhampton Wanderers have all been linked with the striker.
However, Posh do not want to sell on the cheap and they are reportedly asking for £5million for the 23-year-old.
It is believed by the Football League Paper that two Championship sides are close to paying that amount to land the front man, and Peterborough supporters believe they are getting the better end of the deal.
Washington has scored 12 goals in his last 14 appearances, but prior to this purple patch he has not scored particularly frequently at League One level.
As a result, Peterborough supporters believe that he could be overvalued by some of the teams chasing him, and they have backed the club to sell him if they receive a £5million bid.
Here is the best reaction from Peterborough fans on Twitter to the latest Washington rumours.
Wow Conor Washington is a decent finisher and great striker for league one but not worth 5 mill #havingagigglemate

With £5m, I can honestly see us replacing Conor Washington and strengthening elsewhere. Too good to turn down surely?

5m is a lot of money for a club like us but can't see us getting promotion if we sell Washington?! #pufc
