The Liverpool fan and former top-flight forward couldn't believe his eyes!

Liverpool supporters are generally unsure what's going on when it comes to Simon Mignolet.
The Belgian has been out of form for some time and, his reflexes aside, there are such huge shortcomings in his game most assume he will be sold at the first available opportunity.
And yet the Liverpool goalkeeper has now been given a new five-year deal.
After replacing Brendan Rodgers, there was huge faith placed in Jurgen Klopp by fans and he should come good at Anfield. But it increasingly appears as though the German is making a mistake with Mignolet - if he isn't being pushed by FSG and the transfer committee, that is.
There is something to admire in Klopp backing his goalkeeper, even if it's just to get a good price for him and then sign a better replacement when there is time to scout properly over the summer.
Offering someone a contract until 2021 for their poor performances, however, is just bad management - whatever angle they are coming from.
No wonder Liverpool fan, talkSPORT pundit and former Newcastle United forward Mick Quinn reacted as he did to the news on Twitter, then. There's no doubt he wasn't the only one to respond in the same way...
