West Bromwich Albion have taken two non-league players on trial, HITC Sport understands.
Mergim Quarri and Robleh Xasan have both been doing the rounds in non-league football in London over the past 12 months before being picked up by the ProGen Academy – who try to help get players break into the professional game or return to the pro-ranks.
And now West Brom have taken both 19-year-olds on trial, having been impressed by the pair in recent displays they have scouted.
Should they impress Quarri, a winger with Kosovan heritage, and Dutch-born full-back Xasan could be plucked from obscurity and offered permanent deals.
Both have skirted with the professional game earlier in their careers. Quarri spent time on the books of Aldershot Town, whilst Xasan has featured in Maidstone United's youth set-up.
The duo arrived at The Hawthorns last week and are due to spend the next seven days with the Black Country club as they bid to earn permanent contracts in due course.
