Wolverhampton Wanderers were beaten 3-1 by Cardiff City at Molineux yesterday.
Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters are starting to question Danny Batth’s performances in the heart of their defence.
Batth has become a key player at Molineux since breaking through the youth system, but his performances more recently have been poor.
The 25-year-old has looked off the pace, and despite his role as captain some Wolves fans are wanting him to be dropped.
Batth’s display against Cardiff City has drawn particular criticism, with many followers of Kenny Jackett’s side suggesting that he was largely at fault for their defeat.
Cardiff beat Wolves to stop the Midland side’s run of four consecutive victories.
The Bluebirds scored twice through Craig Noone in the first half, and even though Michal Zyro did pull one back for the hosts, Russell Slades’ men sealed the points when Joe Ralls slammed home from distance.
Wolves’ defence was once again exposed and Batth is starting to bear the brunt of fans’ frustrations now.
Here is the best reaction to Batth’s performance against Cardiff on social media site Twitter.
Batth was really poor yesterday and has been for a while. Decision making at times is shocking and seems to hesitate quite a lot. #wwfc— Rob Bayliss (@Rob_wwfc) January 17, 2016
Struggle for creativity down the wings without Graham. Batth & EEL too slow & cumbersome for Champ. KM needs Price alongside him. #wwfc— Paddy Day (@paddyday90) January 16, 2016
What's happened to Batth this season? it's like a different player #wwfc— Ryan Chisholm (@Ryan_Chisholm) January 16, 2016
Batth and Ebanks Landell shocking, need a new left back— Mark (@markr_wwfc) January 16, 2016
Best left foot in division in Noone and KJ plays a Right footed full back to mark him. Batth & EEL show him onto his left. Laughable #WWFC— James Batham (@IbizaJay) January 16, 2016
Has Batth got cement boots on? Their bloke walked past him to score. #WWFC— HUGE (@HUGEWolf) January 16, 2016
