Birmingham City FC - St. Andrews

Birmingham City beat Derby County 3-0 at the iPro Stadium yesterday.

A number of members of Birmingham City’s first-team squad have expressed their delight at beating Derby County on social media site Twitter this weekend.

Birmingham picked up a highly impressive 3-0 win over Paul Clement’s side at the iPro Stadium on Saturday to strengthen their push for the play-offs.

The victory delighted the Blues’ supporters and their players were also clearly very pleased with the three points.

Birmingham first took the lead on the hour-mark when Paul Robinson headed home from a set piece.

They doubled their advantage when Stephen Gleeson’s wayward cross somehow found its way over Derby stopper Lee Grant’s head and into the back of the net.

And they sealed the three points in the closing stages when Maikel Kieftenbeld hammered home a belter with the clock ticking down.

The win has moved Birmingham up to eighth place in the Premier League table and their players were revelling in their triumph after the match.
