Sheffield Wednesday supporters want Gary Hooper to sign permanently

Sheffield Wednesday - The Owls

Sheffield Wednesday supporters are eager to see Gary Hooper sign permanently from Norwich City.

Sheffield Wednesday supporters have urged the club to sign Gary Hooper on a permanent basis from Norwich City.

Hooper is currently on loan at Hillsborough from the Canaries, but he could have played his last game for Carlos Carvalhal’s side, with his temporary contract set to expire in the coming week.

Wednesday supporters are hoping that his stay is made a long term one, especially after he netted twice in their victory over Leeds United at the weekend.

The Owls beat their Yorkshire rivals 2-0 yesterday and Hooper showed his goal-scoring prowess in the contest to notch two goals.

The former Celtic man capitalised on some poor defending from the Whites to take his total to six goals in 12 Championship matches since moving to Wednesday.

Owls fans were very impressed by the 27-year-old’s energetic display, and they are now desperate for him to remain with them, as they look to consolidate their place in the Championship play-offs.

Here is the best reaction to Hooper’s performance against Leeds on social media site Twitter.
