Swansea City are interested in signing Joe Allen from Liverpool in the January transfer window, according to The Sun.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that Swansea are hoping to agree a deal of £8 million for the Wales international.
Back to Swansea City?
Allen started his professional club career at Swansea and moved to Liverpool in the summer of 2012.
Much was expected of the 25-year-old when he arrived at Anfield, but he has not developed as expected.
The Welshman is not guaranteed a place in the Liverpool starting lineup and has been able to make just seven appearances in the Premier League so far this season.
During the 2014-15 campaign, Allen featured in 21 league games, scoring one goal and creating 15 chances in the process.
A move to Swansea would be a step down for the 25-year-old, especially as the Welsh outfit are struggling for survival in the Premier League at the moment.
Perhaps Allen should stick around at Liverpool until the end of the season and then decide his future.
