According to the Burton Mail, Burton Albion striker Nasser El Khayati is a transfer target for Birmingham City in the January transfer window.
El Khayati has been one of the Brewers’ key players so far this season, and he has scored eight times in 25 League One appearances.
The forward has also linked the play up well for Burton, as they have established a lead at the top of England’s third tier.
It is understood that Burton are determined to keep hold of their prized attacker, but with interest rising Nigel Clough’s side may have to cash in on the interest.
Birmingham are interested in the 26-year-old, as Gary Rowett looks to bolster his forward ranks.
The Blues have recently sold Demarai Gray to Leicester City and they reportedly realise that they need to increase their forward options as a result.
At the moment Birmingham have Clayton Donaldson and James Vaughan as their two main striking options, but Rowett is keen to add another forward in January - with El Khayati firmly in his sights.
