Mark Hughes said he enjoyed an 'even' contest after Arsenal drew 0-0 at Stoke City on Sunday afternoon.
Neutrals might not have agreed - although it was certainly an upgrade on Liverpool's dire clash with Manchester United, even if the visitors did score a goal in that one.
But more disappointing was the treatment Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey received from Stoke fans. Indeed, the Welshman had his leg broken at Stoke some years ago and supporters were - for some bizarre reason - booing him for it and chanting unsavoury things about the 25-year-old 'walking with a limp.'
Here's what Ian Wright thought of it all on Twitter...
I see after 6 years Stoke fans are booing Ramsey for getting his leg broken!— Ian Wright (@IanWright0) January 17, 2016
And another pundit, Matt Le Tissier, tweeted something similar in response to the Stoke fans:
Why is Aaron Ramsey getting booed??? Do the Stoke fans think he was faking that broken leg? I'm confused!!— Matt Le Tissier (@mattletiss7) January 17, 2016
Thanks to goal difference, Arsenal are back on top of the Premier League table. But there's a long way to go for all involved. Visiting Stoke didn't prove easy and nor will several big games to come for the Gunners.
