David Gold reacts on Twitter to West Ham’s defeat to Newcastle

West Ham United suffered a 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s defeat to Newcastle United away from home on Saturday afternoon.

The Hammers failed to maintain their winning run and went down 2-1 to Newcastle at St. James’ Park in the Premier League.

Gold has admitted his disappointment at the final result and has urged the players to return to winning ways next weekend.

The London outfit will host Manchester City at the Boleyn Ground in the league on Saturday evening.

The West Ham co-chairman has also taken a dig at the seats for the away fans at St. James’ Park.

West Ham are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 35 points from 22 matches.

Slaven Bilic’s side are four points behind Tottenham Hotspur, who are currently fourth and occupy the final Champions League spot.

Meanwhile, City find themselves second in the standings at the moment with 43 points from 22 matches, just a point behind leaders Leicester City.
