Speaking ahead of the clash with Sky Sports, Redknapp feels Villa will have to look for victory against the Foxes and that will play right in the visitors’ hands with their counterattacking football so effective.
“When you talk about Leicester, what I like at the moment is they’re keeping clean sheers. Wes Morgan has been magnificent alongside Robert Huth,” Redknapp explained.
“I think Leicester will win this game. The difficulty for Remi Garde [Aston Villa boss] is he has to have a go. You can’t have any regrets now, you’ve got to get after this game and try and attack.”
“But if you do that against Leicester, then you leave a lot of open spaces they can gallop into.”
Villa head into the clash buoyed by their first win in 20 Premier League matches, defeating Crystal Palace 1-0 at Villa Park in midweek to end a rotten run of form.
The club are still positioned at the bottom of the table with 11 points, yet another home game gives them a real opportunity to gain some sort of momentum in their bid to stage a remarkable comeback.
However, in another must-win game for Villa, they’re arguably facing the league’s most dangerous counterattacking side even in the absence of the injured Jamie Vardy.
Claudio Ranieri’s men defeated Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 at White Hart Lane in midweek, a result which ties them once again level on points with Arsenal at the top of the table.
Leicester staged a stunning comeback to defeat Villa from two goals down in the corresponding fixture earlier in the campaign, and there could be plenty of goals in this one too.
