Former Rangers forward Marsh has criticised the London club’s decision and has backed Austin to be a success at Southampton.

Austin joined QPR in 2013, and his contract was due to run out at the end of the season.
The Englishman scored 18 goals and created 23 chances in 35 Premier League games for QPR last season.
The former Burnley star has struggled with injuries this campaign, but he still scored 10 goals and created 17 chances in 16 Championship matches for Rangers.
Austin had a pass accuracy of 63% and a shot accuracy of 49%, and won 53 headers, nine dribbles and 13 tackles.
