Alderweireld, who joined Spurs from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2015, has been arguably the best centre-back in the Premier League so far this season.
Dembele is starting to show his quality and is being consistent, while star striker Kane has scored 12 goals in 22 Premier League appearances.
Ozil has scored three goals and created 86 chances in 20 Premier League appearances so far this season.
Explaining his decision to include Monreal in his Premier League select XI, Cascarino wrote in The Times: “He reminds me of Lee Dixon in that he is reliable rather than flashy.”
Tony Cascarino’ Premier League XI (4-3-3):
Coleman - Alderweireld - Shawcross - Monreal
Ozil - Dembele - Noble
Mahrez - Kane - Vardy
Cascarino did not include any Liverpool or Manchester United players in his Premier League XI.
“They have become a selling club,” the former Republic of Ireland international wrote about Liverpool in The Times. “They have spent money but not on anyone that could be considered an elite player.”
About United, Cascarino explained: “They have wasted huge sums and their approach is, basically, one of negligence. Yes, Bastian Schweinsteiger was one of the game’s greats but why did United buy him when he was way past his best?”
