The former England international has also praised Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce for the signings he has made in the January transfer window so far.

The Premier League strugglers have recruited defender Jan Kirchhoff from Bayern Munich and striker Dame N'Doye on loan from Trabzonspor.

Ayew joined Swansea on a free transfer in the summer of 2015 and has been one of the better performances for the Welsh outfit so far this season.
