Charlie Austin sends message on Twitter after move, QPR and Southampton fans respond

Charlie Austin has left Championship side Queens Park Rangers for Premier League outfit Southampton.

Charlie Austin has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at joining Southampton.

Austin has left Championship outfit Championship to move to Premier League side Southampton on a four-and-a-half-year contract.

According to The Guardian, the Saints had to pay QPR a transfer fee of £4 million for the services of the English striker.

Austin has taken to Twitter to thank Rangers, and to assure the Southampton fans that he will give his all to succeed at St. Mary’s Stadium.

Austin joined QPR in 2013, and his contract was due to run out at the end of the 2015-16 campaign. The Englishman scored 18 goals and created 23 chances in 35 Premier League games for QPR last season.

The former Burnley star has struggled with injuries this term but he still scored 10 goals and created 17 chances in 16 Championship matches for Rangers.
