Andy Gray suggested on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Friday morning (January 15) one way in which Aston Villa can avoid relegation from the Premier League.
Villa are at the bottom of the Premier League table at the moment and are in real danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.
Remi Garde’s side are currently at the foot of the standings with just 11 points from 21 matches.
The Villans are as many as eight points behind 17th-placed Swansea City, and the situation is dire.
Former Villa striker Gray believes that the only way that Villa can retain their Premier League status next season is to go on a run like Leicester City during the 2014-15 campaign.
"Villa look doomed, unless they can find a Leicester-like run-in, the way Leicester did last year," said Gray on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Friday morning (January 15).
Leicester looked set for relegation last season, but they won seven of their final nine Premier League games to finish 14th.
Can Villa do something similar this term? Only time will tell.
