The report suggested that Spurs' and Sandro's representatives had spoken over a deal - which will see him sign a four-and-half year contract at White Hart Lane.
The deal has been mired in doubt however as it was reported that Tottenham did not want a buy-back clause included in his deal, as was reported by the Daily Mail, along with his potential £3 million asking price.
But the deal has gone quiet in recent weeks and now Sky Sports Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has confirmed there has been no movement in any potential deal.
He told Sky Sports that Spurs had denied any contact whatsoever with Barcelona for the services of Sandro - suggesting that no deal was likely to go ahead.
Spurs have just lost Clinton N'Jie to injury for three months and want another attacking option. Sandro is a Spanish Under-21 international who has played 18 times for Barca this season but not as a starting XI regular.
