Tottenham have been linked with Domenico Berardi of Sassuolo.
Of all the players Spurs could look to bring in, Berardi is the target which should have fans most excited, given that he could be an era defending star for the Lilywhites.
Berardi started his career at Sassuolo, signing part of his ownership to Juventus in 2013. He stayed with Sassuolo, and they purchased all of his rights over the summer.
The 21-year-old star has an exceptional record of 45 goals and 28 assists in 117 games for the club, with 34 in 73 in Serie A. He has played a key role in Sassuolo’s rise and establishment in the top flight, and is rightly considered one of the best young talents in European football.
The Italian Under-21 international is naturally a winger, but can also play as a striker, and if Spurs could sign him, they would ensure another top talent is on their books.
He is a fearsome goalscorer, and offers a threat as a playmaker as well, and is only going to improve.
Spurs have built an exciting young squad, and Berardi is a natural fit in Pochettino’s side. He is a hard worker who presses high up the pitch, and possess a wealth of natural talent and desire to improve.
Tottenham are one or two players off being the best team in the division, and signing Berardi would be one of the solutions to fixing that problem. He is a player who would improve the Spurs team, and could be a star who defines Tottenham’s future for the next decade.
Pochettino should be making it his priority to sign Berardi this month, before any number of other teams move for the talented attack.
