Sunderland fans react on Twitter to Jeremain Lens performance

Jeremain Lens had one of his best games for Sunderland.

Is Sunderland attacker Jeremain Lens beginning to turn around his career at the club?

The summer signing has had a miserable time since signing for the Black Cats, but last night against Swansea City he was outstanding.

A cynic may suggest it is because the transfer window is open and he is playing for a move, but to take it for what it is, manager Sam Allardyce is showing more trust in him and using him centrally.

Lens helped inspire the club's important 4-2 away win against Swansea City, leapfrogging the Welsh side in the Premier League table.

He came close to scoring himself, denied only by the woodwork, and was confident running at opposition defenders in an attempt to create space.

The 28-year-old netted in the FA Cup defeat to Arsenal at the weekend, and seems to be coming into a bit of form at last.

Last night was his 10th appearance for the club, and if Sunderland can keep him, and keep him playing like this, then he will be a real asset in their attempt to avoid relegation.

Here is a look at how fans reacted on Twitter to his performance...
