Vicenza are hoping to convince Leeds United midfielder Tommaso Bianchi to join them.

Tommaso Bianchi's spell at Leeds United could soon be coming to an end.

Tuttomercatoweb report [via SkyItalia] that Serie B side Vicenza hope to learn if they can sign him shortly.

It is claimed Bianchi will give them a decision in the coming hours regarding a move, and that he is one of two midfield players along with Napoli's Jacopo Dezi, who they are hoping to sign.

The report reads: "Expected in the coming hours the answers of Jacopo Dezi (via Napoli) and Tommaso Bianchi (departing from Leeds), it is possible that they can get both."

Bianchi has a contract at Leeds until 2018, and it is unclear if Vicenza are aiming for a permanent or loan deal, with the latter having fewer complications in terms of agreeing a move.

The central midfielder has missed the entire season after suffering a knee injury before it began, but returned to fitness last month. Despite this he has been overlooked by head coach Steve Evans, who has preferred to include youngster Kalvin Phillips on the bench.

For Bianchi, leaving the club to ensure the season is not wasted should be a no brainer, but he will not have an easy task at Vicenza.

The club are in 19th place out of 22 teams in Serie B, winning just four games all season.
