Report suggests Aston Villa and Everton are keen on Inter Milan's Croatian talent Marcelo Brozovic

The midfielder is still technically on loan at Internazionale.

Aston Villa and Everton are being sensationally linked with a move for Inter Milan star Marcelo Brozovic.

Calciomercato is reporting that Brozovic may be available for this month and that Villa and Everton are both interested on bringing him in from the Serie A title contenders. Arsenal have recently been linked with a permanent move for the player - who is technically not yet an Internazionale player.

He is still on loan at the club from Dinamo Zagreb although Inter are obliged to make the deal permanent at the end of the season. The rumour is that Inter could sign him permanently and then send him out on loan to Aston Villa or Everton.

The same report however concedes that both Premier League teams are unlikely to get hold of the Croatian talent. Roberto Mancini sees him as a vital squad member in their title hunt and he will not allow him to go anywhere. Brozovic has only started eight of Inter's 19 Serie A games so far this season.

Aston Villa are looking to strengthen their side for a potential last ditch survival bid in the Premier League whilst Everton are currently without James McCarthy through injury and will be considering the long-term with Darron Gibson set to leave and Gareth Barry no spring chicken.
