Report: Everton join Premier League rivals in pursuit of Charlton striker Ademola Lookman

Charlton Athletic - The Valley

Reports claim Everton have joined Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Manchester City in the race for Ademola Lookman.

According to The Times, Everton are in the race to sign Charlton Athletic striker Ademola Lookman - but face competition from a host of Premier League rivals.

The Toffees have brought in plenty of young players from Football League clubs in recent years, with the likes of John Stones, Brendan Galloway, Mason Holgate and Matty Foulds all arriving from clubs outside of the Premier League.

Manager Roberto Martinez seems keen to develop his own young players, and he could be targeting a move for another Championship teenager.

The Times report that Everton are in the race to sign Charlton Athletic hitman Ademola Lookman, who has made a huge impact in the Addicks first team.

The 18-year-old forward joined Charlton from Waterloo FC just a year ago, but he has already proven his worth at The Valley, thriving with three goals in nine games despite his side's struggles in the Championship relegation zone.

Much like any talented young Football League teenager, Premier League clubs eventually come swarming, and that's now the case with Lookman.

The Times suggest that Everton are in the race to sign teenage forward Lookman, but face competition from Premier League rivals such as Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, with a January deal possible for the young striker's signature.

Who should Lookman sign for this month?
