Rangers fans react on Twitter to Jason Holt and Andy Halliday contract extensions

Rangers agreed contract extensions with Jason Holt and Andy Halliday.

Halliday and Holt agreed new deals with Rangers yesterday, with the official Rangers website confirming they are both tied down until 2020.

The duo both arrived at Ibrox over the summer, and have estbalhsied themselves as key parts of Mark Warburton’s Rangers team.

Halliday, a former Rangers youth product, has played 26 games in all competitions, scoring five goals and registering four assists, impressing in the midfield.

Holt has managed one game less, but has a return of nine goals and five assists to his name, offering a more attacking threat from the middle of the park.

Halliday, 24, and Holt, 22, are both young and Scottish, and they represent the perfect idealisation of what Warburton wants to do at Rangers.

His philosophy is to build a young team of homegrown players, and no one can claim that Holt and Halliday have not been a successful part of this philosophy this season.

Following the confirmation of the duo signing new deals, Rangers fans took to Twitter expressing their delight at the contracts, with many claiming they have been outstanding for the Gers this season.
