Arsenal and Liverpool drew 3-3 at Anfield last night.
In what was arguably the most exciting match of the Premier League season so far, both Arsenal and Liverpool put in wonderful attacking performances at Anfield.
The two sides went toe-to-toe with each other, and it created a pulsating encounter to watch.
The tempo of the match was the talk of the players after full time, with Ozil, Koscielny and Ramsey all focusing on how entertaining the contest was.
There was no time to blink during the match! A pity we couldn’t take the 3 points with us to London! But chin up, we're still #LFCvAFC— Mesut Özil (@MesutOzil1088) January 13, 2016
Thanks to all the fans that travelled up, gutted not to be sending you home celebrating 3 points. See you Sunday... https://t.co/5xFP7Y2w9h— Aaron Ramsey (@aaronramsey) January 13, 2016
Liverpool started the contest well and they took the lead when Roberto Firmino hit the back of the net.
Arsenal responded though, and they were soon back on level terms through Ramsey’s neat finish.
Liverpool regained the advantage when Firmino hit a belter, before Olivier Giroud once again levelled things up.
Arsenal then grew into the match, and Giroud gave them a lead to defend for the first time in the match with a fine individual goal.
It looked as if Arsene Wenger’s men were set to claim a very valuable victory, but Joe Allen volleyed home in injury time to ensure the spoils were shared.
The draw leaves Arsenal level on points with Leicester City at the top of the Premier League table.
