Extravagantly named youngster impressed in Leeds' defeat to Manchester City.
Leeds United exited the 2015/16 FA Youth Cup, defeated 5-2 by Manchester City at Elland Road in the fourth round by Jason Wilcox's side.
City were 4-0 up at one stage and the result was never really in doubt, much to the disappointment of Leeds fans who had attended the fixture, including former first team hero Ian Harte, and current club captain Sol Bamba.
The game provided an opportunity for the under-18s to show what they could do, and it was not entirely a wasted evening, with striker Mallik Wilks forcing City's Erik Sarmiento into an own goal, and substitute Lewis Knight also netted for the Whites.
Fans were also treated to a glimpse of extravagantly named youngster Ronaldo Vieira, just 17, who signed professional terms with the club last year.
He used social media to thank those in attendance, and expressed his disappointment at the result.
Disappinting result tonight, we got to keep our heads up and look foward to next game! Thank you everyone who came out to support us!@LUFC— Ronaldo Vieira (@Ronaldo_Vieira8) January 14, 2016
The teenager nearly scored in the first half with Leeds just 1-0 down, which could have changed the complexion of the game.
He completed all 90 minutes of the fixture, and was one of the more lively attacking players during the clash, attracting attention due to his play and not just his name.
Here is a look at how supporters reacted on Twitter to his performance...
For #lufc you'd have to say Malik Wilks and Ronaldo Viera are the two who stand out. Could do with getting Viera on the ball more— Daniel McGeachie (@McG_Daniel) January 14, 2016
@Ronaldo_Vieira8 well played tonight mate, 1st team won't be that far off
