Liverpool secured a 3-3 draw with Arsenal on Wednesday evening.
Liverpool scored a 90th minute equaliser against Arsenal on Wednesday evening, securing a 3-3 draw at Anfield.
Roberto Firmino netted twice in a thrilling game, but Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud’s brace handed Arsenal the lead early in the second half.
However, Joe Allen was substituted on, and became hero in the closing stages of the game with the equalising goal.
Firmino will take the headlines with his goalscoring display, and it was undoubtedly the best performance the Brazilian attacker has put in since arriving at Merseyside over the summer.
However, the entire Liverpool team deserve praise for an impressive gegenpressing performance, and for fighting back in the closing stages to pick up a point.
The result means that Arsenal have failed to keep their gap at the top of the table, and they now only sit top on goal difference. Leicester’s victory ensured that both sides sit on 43 points after 21 games.
For Liverpool, they moved into ninth place, two points ahead of Watford.
Following the game, Jordan Henderson took to Twitter to send a message to goal hero Firmino, whilst Mamadou Sakho also reacted to the draw with the Gunners on his personal account.
