Former Liverpool hero Jamie Carragher described his old side as a shambles defensively, but picked out Jordan Henderson's display as excellent.
He was commenting on Twitter after the pulsating 3-3 draw with Arsenal, in which they snatched an injury time equaliser through substitute Joe Allen.
Great atmosphere tonight, even the Main Stand was singing! Shambles at the back but great drive 2nd half to get back into it. JH excellent.— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) January 13, 2016
Henderson was captaining the side, and led by example in an intriguing head to head encounter against Welshman Aaron Ramsey, who he could come up against at Euro 2016, if selected to start for England.
The midfielder made 84 touches, more than any player in the Liverpool side, winning two aerial duels. He also made a staggering seven interceptions, and three tackles. No Liverpool midfielder has matched seven interceptions in a match this season, with the Premier League best for the campaign being nine.
Despite their late equaliser, Liverpool slipped down the table as a result of the draw, and now sit in ninth place, and Henderson will need a big performance at the weekend in the must win clash against rivals Manchester United.
