Dietmaar Hamann has told BBC Sport’s Match of the Day that Christian Eriksen’s form is becoming a worry for Tottenham Hotspur.
Eriksen has largely disappointed this season, and he has not scored a league goal since way back in October.
And, after Spurs were beaten 1-0 by Leicester City last night, Hamann has suggested that the Danish attacking midfielder needs to start raising his game, to take some of the goalscoring burden off Harry Kane.
“The worry Spurs at the minute is Christian Eriksen,” the former Liverpool midfielder said.
“He scored his last league goal in October, and they rely on Kane too heavily. Hopefully he comes back to form soon.
"I still think they are favourites for the top four."
Eriksen went into the campaign regarded as Tottenham’s key creator, but his role in the side has diminished in importance.
The likes of Dele Alli and Mousa Dembele both have been more influential this season, but Eriksen’s talent remains undoubted.
The 23-year-old has proven to be one of the most talented attacking midfielders in the Premier League in previous seasons.
Eriksen scored 12 goals for Spurs in all competitions last term, but he has only managed four strikes this time around.
Spurs will be relying on Eriksen to start finding form soon, as they battle to take a top four space.
As things stand the Lilywhites are hanging on to fourth spot, but West Ham United are only one point behind them.
