Claudio Ranieri jokes about what he asked Robert Huth before Leicester City's match last night

Leicester City won 1-0 at White Hart Lane yesterday, with Robert Huth bagging the winner.

Claudio Ranieri has joked that he asked Robert Huth when he was going to score for Leicester City before their match against Tottenham Hotspur.

Huth signed permanently for Leicester in the summer, but prior to playing against Spurs he had not scored a goal since Claudio Ranieri took charge at the King Power Stadium.

The German defended did manage to nod home the winner at White Hart Lane, though, much to the delight of his manager.

Huth’s goal against Spurs was well worth the wait, as it was a brilliantly placed header.

The 31-year-old met Christian Fuchs’ corner and looped the ball over Hugo Lloris and into the top corner.

Leicester then held on to claim a vital victory, which has further consolidated their place in the top four.

The Foxes are now level on points with Arsenal at the top of the table, and they are eight points clear of fifth placed West Ham United.
